A year of soft beginnings and playful experimentation.

In 2019, I was painting in a sunlit home studio, surrounded by rolling valleys and the quiet rhythm of nature.

I was living with my best friends — a time that felt expansive and full of ease. That sense of freedom and joy wove itself into my work. I continued exploring watercolour while beginning to expand into new materials — acrylic on canvas, gouache, coloured pencil, and experimenting with wearable pieces.

I painted wearable pieces, made messes, tried things I didn’t know how to do yet, and loved every part of it.

The black and white photographs in this archive were taken by my talented friend and housemate, Ainsley. They hold the feeling of that time just as much as the work itself.
