A quieter year — one of study, introspection, and deeper intent.

I shared less of my process in 2021 and turned inward, drawn to ancient texts and philosophies that shaped not just my art, but my way of seeing. I read works like Meditations, The Four Agreements, The Alchemist — and began folding ideas from Ayurveda, yogic principles, and aphorisms into my creative practice.

As I completed my communications degree, I found myself captivated by the power of language and symbol. I studied the artists and thinkers I admired — what they held was clarity of voice, something unmistakably their own. I wanted that too.

This was the beginning of my motifs, my world-building. I began painting what I called the Androgynous Being — a simplified, quiet figure inspired by medieval portraiture, shaped to reflect my inner world. I explored restrained palettes, symbolic forms, and continued working mostly in watercolour, while still turning to other mediums for creative play.

I also began to write more and launched a small run of mantra t-shirts. Seeing these worn and felt by others brought me a joy I still carry.

This was a year of foundations — slow, thoughtful, and deeply felt.
