A slower kind of making, and a year lived in layers.

In 2023, I settled into a room in our farmhouse as my studio — a space I shaped with care, filling it with beauty, intention, and quiet inspiration. Life around me began to speed up, but my art slowed. I finished fewer pieces, but I lived more. I documented moments on film, continued to explore colour, texture, and my growing world of motifs, always circling back to meaning and feeling.

There were challenges this year — deep personal growth, shifts, and hard times I moved through gently. I leaned on my practice to hold me. Not just creatively, but mentally, spiritually, and physically. It became a way to come back to myself.

This was a year of quiet evolution — less visible, but deeply alive.
